Field MarshalField Marshal is the highest rank in the Corps. Field Marshal has many years of distinguished service and an impeccable record. There are only 6 Fleet Admirals: the Judge Advocate General, the Chief in Command, the Commander Starfleet, the Commandant of the Marine Corps, the Director of the Corps of Engineers and the Fleet Commander.GeneralGeneral (O-10) is the highest level of General Officer. This is the highest ranking Officer in the Starfleet Marine Corps.Lieutenant General Lieutenant General (O-9) is the third level of General Officer.Major GeneralMajor General (O-8) is the second level of General Officer.Brigadier GeneralBrigadier General (O-7) is the first level of General Officer.

Line Officer Ranks


ColonelColonel (O-6) is the highest ranking Field Grade Officer.Lieutenant ColonelLieutenant Colonel (O-5) is a Field Grade Officer.MajorMajor (O-4) is the first Field Grade Officer.CaptainCaptain (O-3) is the highest level Company Grade Officer.1st Lieutenant 1st Lieutenant (O-2) is considered a Company Grade Officer and is one rank above 2nd Lieutenant.2nd Lieutenant Second Lieutenant (O-1) is considered a Company Grade Officer and is the lowest ranking officer rank.
Enlisted ranks

Rank Sergeant MajorSergeants Major (E-9) are the highest ranking enlisted Marines and are commanders' senior advisers for enlisted matters.Master Sergeant/
First SergeantAt the E-8 level, the SFMC has two positions at the same pay grade.
Whether a marine is a master sergeant (MSGT) or a first sergeant (FSGT) depends on the person's job.Gunnery

Lance Corporal As with other service members in pay grades E-1 through E-3, Lance Corporals (E-3) are usually either in some kind of training status or on their initial assignment.
The training includes the basic training phase where recruits are immersed in military culture and values and are taught the core skills required by their service component.
Basic training is followed by a specialized or advanced training phase that provides recruits with a specific area of expertise or concentration.Private
