* NOTE - You'll notice that two different ranks are equivalent to Major. The words mean pretty much the same thing, but the El'uhlan and Sael'riov serve two different functions in the service, and function much like a Lieutenant and Lieutenant Junior Grade do in Starfleet, etc.
